To do...

So this post about future posts I'm planning on making. I'm hoping I can come back and update this post as I actual make the below referenced posts.

1. The chain maille I'm making for Alexander's Halloween costume this year.
2. My thoughts regarding being a contract worker (it's ... different).
3. Thoughts about my first three "followers" (Justin, Skye, and Wayland you all ROCK).
4. This one's not really a post, but I want to put links up to books that I think are worth purchasing (no clue how to do this, but I'm sure I can figure it out... somehow).
5. Two interesting reunions that have recently occurred due to getting in touch with old friends via Facebook.

(Added less than 15 minutes after I posted original post) HA! I can edit this post at a later date.

6. Take a look into a hobby I plan on picking up in the near future, BLACKSMITHING!

Ok. I'm done here. My mind is very blah at the moment. For my faithful followers, I know... slow, dry start. I hope I'm like wine and only get better with age. Although I might be like bread and just get staler and moldier. We'll have to see.

How it all began...

So the seed for this blog was unknowingly planted by a friend's blog post titled Learn by Doing, Then by Thinking (thanks, Justin!). When I read his post I felt a mental shock similar to walking into a door facing (I've done that a few times getting up with Little Man at night). I instantly realized that one of my biggest faults, maybe it's a life-hindrance, is my tendency to think, and think, AND THINK about something and never actually DO. Typically I either think myself out of my idea of the day or think about the topic so long I lose interest and move on.

Well in an effort to not just think about something and actually do something I decided to start this blog. Now some might say that this is no different than thinking, because I'm not DOING anything. I would disagree. For me, this is a large step. What I'm DOING is actually putting my thoughts out there. I'd like to eventually flesh out some of my ideas in a public setting, working my way towards being a more knowledgeable person in various areas.

Also, I'd eventually like to start my own business. I'm hoping that skills I learn from this endeavor, from the technical side of blogging to the most effective way to relay information to handling others' view points tactfully, will eventually be put in use in my own organization.

I'm not certain whether or not any of this will have the results that I'm currently expecting, but at least it should be fun.

Enjoy
